don’t be a ‘fraidy cat…

If you follow my blog, you know I love to share from the devotionals I read every morning. On Friday, this was the reading for that day…

Work out…(cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling…(self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ).” (Philippians 2:12)

“Take some bold steps of faith and change anything the Lord leads you to change.

If what you are doing with your time is not bearing good fruit…make a change.
If you are not getting enough rest…make a change.
If you are not disciplining your children and their behavior is causing you a lot of stress..make a change.
If your friends are taking advantage of you…make a change.
change
Stress can be relieved if you’re not afraid to make changes. You may be afraid of change, and even if you find the courage to make the necessary changes, it is possible that other people in your life won’t like the changes you make. Don’t be afraid of them…either.

You will get used to the change…and so will they.

If you don’t take action now, you will still be complaining about the same things a year from now, and ten years after that. Boldness takes action, but fear breeds inactivity and procrastination.

The choice is yours.” (The Confident Woman’s Devotional…emphasis mine)

Can I just say…holla.

There is nothing more aggravating than someone who keeps complaining about something they can change…but won’t. (ugh)

Really?? You’d rather gripe than fix?

What a waste of time…and your life.

Zip it. And fix it.

And if you can’t?…hand it over to God. He’s good at that kind of thing. ;)

Quit griping being a ‘fraidy-cat.
